After a long flight, we stopped at this lovely caffé for breakfast. It is the cutest little thing, it has a table outside to enjoy a meal in the sun; indeed it was sunny! My boyfriend was a bit sick and had one of the soups of the day. I had a baked potato with bacon, pickles and cheese, sooo good. It's located in a beautiful, peaceful street. A nice place to rest after a stressful day (or not ).
Lovely and cozy little independent cafe. Really well decorated from the outside to the inside and that’s why it caught my attention. I had the most lovely home made carrot cake, really moist and sweet. I usually don’t eat cakes with raisins but i finished this one. I just wished the display had more on my visit but unfortunately this time it didn’t have much to choose from, and maybe because was already late afternoon. I think was the mum and the daughter who both served me and took payment and they were both lovely and warm.
Our family was staying in a hotel close by Laura's Kitchen and one morning we were looking for a breakfast place. We (or at least myself) went in very hungry but with low expectations. The full scottish breakfast turned out to be very delicious and big, one of the best i've ever had! I almost couldn't finish it, and my stomach is usually has no bottom at all. The wife and kids also loved their porridge, scrambled eggs and croissants so much that we had another breakfast here again two days later. The place itself is quite small, but has big character and is very cozy. Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities in the world and i will definitely remember Laura's Kitchen for our next visit.
Good choices of breakfast. We tried the porridge with banana and honey , it was delicious and the hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream yummy ! The person who took care of us was very nice. I'd come back if I had more time in the city ! The place is beautiful and cozy , it feels really nice to be there.
Exceptional local cafe that’s full of character for either takeaway or sit-in breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Great coffee and cakes and world class freshly made breakfast sandwiches. If you’re visiting the area, skip the dreary hotel breakfast and come here!
Delightful lunch. A rainy day, sat at a cozy table in the window. Cheese, bacon, and tomato toastie, apple and rhubarb tart, and 2 delicious lattes. Fast and friendly service, even with the non-English tourist, and the slightly confused elderly lady.
